It's time for another Cornish Heritage Farms Challenge,

The winner receives:
$10 Gift Certificate and a Winner's Badge to put on your Blog.
The Challenge runs for 2 weeks, so you have lots of time to join!

Our host Michele has chosen:
Black, White and ? (Your choice of third colour) .
To play create a card using CHF images. You can use either CHF digi or rubber stamps to create a card or project.... anything you like as long as the stamps are Cornish Heritage Farms. (Yes, they can be older stamps.)

Once you have created your card/project go to the CHF Blog and place a comment with a link to your card/project to this post so that we can see what you created. If you upload your card/project to SCS don't forget to include the keyword CHF06. We can't wait to see what you create!

Card Size:  4.25" x 5.5"
I used the Cornish Heritage Farms digital stamp called Palm Trees, it's available right now in the store, just click on the link. I printed it, then cut it to the size I wanted.  I decided to sponge on some clouds...this is such a fun image with so many options, you could choose to brayer on a night sky, or sunset etc., or even sponge on colours using a circle for a mask to create a moon, or sun.

To make my card a little different I made a shadow box to frame my image.  I left off a sentiment because I wasn't sure for what occasion I would use it yet:) I also didn't add ribbon, just in case I wanted to use it for a guy!

Recipe: CHF Digital SS-Palm Trees, CTMH CS-White Daisy, Black & Sky, CTMH Ink-Sky, Cuttlebug Vintage Corner Die, Cuttlebug Mosaic EF, Rhinestones.

Top Tip Tuesday Focus on the Ribbon Card

Hello and welcome here!  Are you enjoying the Olympics?  We are at our house...except for our 4 year old, he'd rather watch cartoons:)  It's time for another Top Tip Tuesday Challenge, and we want to see your ribbon...lots of it, or even making your own ribbon roses, or weaving it etc. We'd love to see your ideas for ribbon.

Challenge - Focus on the Ribbon

Card Size: 4.25" x 5.5"
A big thanks to Delicious Doodles for letting me use the digital image Mythical Pegasus. I envisioned lots of ribbon for this image, what little girl doesn't like ribbons and glitter.  And my Tip to share with you is if you want texture without overloading your image, use Organza Ribbon, it has such a soft, light feel to it.

Pretty In Pink Scripture Card

Hello and welcome here.  I have another card to share with you today.  I'm creating like crazy to have lots for my stash.

Card Size: 4.25" x 5.5"
I've seen many cards with scallops along the bottom, and so I decided to give it a try too.  And of course I'm loving the Floral Ovals, so I had to use them too, lol.  For some reason the lighting makes the pink in the paper look different, but the pink of the seam binding matches really well to the paper in real life. I shared the card I used scripture on, but I also made 2 with Happy Birthday in the oval.

Inside:
Recipe:  PP-My Mind's Eye Miss Caroline Dolled Up "Cute" Garden Paper, Cornish Heritage Farms SS-Thomas Kincade Scripture I & Beautiful, Verve SS-Circular Sayings, CTMH Ink-Black & Creme Brulee, Spellbinders-Classic Ovals Small & Floral Ovals, Martha Stewart Vintage Doily Border Punch, Wild Orchid Rose Petal Vintage Seam Binding, Recollections Pearl Brads, Foam Squares.

Enjoy,

Another guy card...but I've been on a roll, lol, so since I find inspiration for masculine cards difficult I decided to focus on getting a variety done for my stash.  This one was inspired by one I saw online, but of course I didn't write down where I found it and now when I Google it, I can't find it.  So big thanks to whoever you are in blog world:) I used Spellbinders Circles to cut out my circles.  Easy peasy:)

Pink Happy Birthday Window Card

Hello and welcome here.  I've been busy making cards again, and today I have a feminine birthday card to share with you. I usually layer 'up' my images ore sentiments, and often forget that you can make a window and pop that up while the sentiment or image remains on the card base. It came together quickly, gotta love that!

Card Size:  4.25" x 5.5"
For some added interest I embossed the frame after I cut the window in my CS.  I stamped the sentiment by Flourishes in black, and for the flourish I used 3rd generation ink (it just means I stamped on a piece of paper twice, before I stamped on the sentiment). I finished off the card with a bow in the corner, and to even things out I added pearls in the opposite corner.

Inside:
Recipe:  Flourishes SS-Happy Birthday, CHF SS- Beautiful, CTMH SS-Tender Tags & Card Chatter, PP-My Mind's Eye Miss Caroline Fiddlesticks "Home" Dotted Paper, CTMH CS-White Daisy, Distress Ink-Aged Mahogany, CTMH Ink-Black, EF-Craft Concepts Budding Vine, Spellbinders-Labels 20, Wild Orchid Crafts Rose Petal Vintage Seam Binding, Recollections Floral Embellishments, Pearls, Foam Squares.

Enjoy,
Deneen

Young Masculine Card

Hello, and welcome here!  I have another masculine card to share with you.  I was almost out of masculine cards so I needed to create some more for my stash.  I needed a few younger masculine cards, and because I love this stamp set from Close To My Heart, I designed my card around it.

Card Size: 4.25" x 5.5"
Instead of making 4 cards with 1 image, I made 2 of each....2 guys on bike, 2 guys on skateboard.  The image was looking a little empty so as I was wondering what to do about it, I pulled out the stamp set I was going to use on the inside...which is a splatter (see inside of card below)....that's when I had an 'aha' moment.  I used some of the splatter to look like dirt/mud under the image...ya gotta love that when it happens:)
As I was thinking of matting the image, I wanted to do something a little different and thought matting just the corners would work, so I used a some black scraps I had, and it ended up being a better look, so I continue using them rather than cutting them to fit just the corners.

Inside:
Recipe:  PP-Basic Grey Marolain Black Forest Strata, CTMH SS-X-Treme & You Rock, CS-Bazzil Black Mono & Bazzil Cream Prismatics, CTMH Ink-Black & Desert Sand, Spellbinders-Labels 22, Stampin' Up-Label Punch, Rhinestones, Foam Squares.

Enjoy,
Deneen

A Wedding, and a Retirement Card

Hello and welcome here!  It's been a long while since I've posted something other than for the Design Teams I'm on, partly because I didn't want to be tied to the computer so much, and partly because I just wasn't creating anything.  But since work is done for the summer (I work in a school), I've had time to myself and have been bitten by the creative bug again!

Here are two cards I made for work.  One lady was getting married, and the other was retiring.  The cards  needed to be bigger so that everyone could sign them.

Card Size: 5" x 7"
All white cards are always so hard for me to photograph and edit.  It tends to overexpose when I lighten it up a bit, so I have to leave them a little darker so that you can see the details. I kept it Clean & Simple to reflect elegance.  The image I used is a digital image I found HERE, at Wedding Girl Blog.

Recipe: Digital Image-Wedding Girl Blog Bride Silhouette, CTMH CS-White Daisy & Spring Iris, Spellbinders-Labels 10, EF-Craft Concepts Budding Vine, White Grosgrain Ribbon, White Satin Edge Ribbon, Pearls, Foam Squares.

Card #1 Challenges Entered:
Paper Craft Star - Embossing
Ruby's Rainbow - Emboss It
Creative Card Crew - Swirls and Pearls
Cardmadfairy's Digi Days - Girly w/ a digi image

Card Size: 5" x 7"
This card was for a teacher who was retiring, so I wanted it to be a little extra special.  I love the lacy feel of the Floral Frames and Romantic Rectangles by Spellbinders, and I was able to layer them up because of the large size of card I needed to use.

Recipe:  CTMH SS-Sweet Flowers, CTMH CS-White Daisy, Sweet Leaf & New England Ivy, CTMH Ink-Creme Brulee, Blush, Vineyard Berry, New England Ivy & Olive, Spellbinders-Romantic Rectangles & Floral Frames, Foam Squares, Pearls.

Card #2 Challenges Entered:
Paper Pretties - Celebrate-Any Occasion Card\
Papercraft Star - No Designer Paper

Cornish Heritage Farms Birthday Challenge

Hello and welcome here to my second post today! It's time for another Cornish Heritage Farms Challenge.

The winner receives:

 Lisa has chosen:
Happy Birthday Card or Tag

Here is my creation for some birthday inspiration.
Card Size: 4.25" x 5.5"
I love this lighthouse, it's a digital stamp and is called Lighthouse 3, it's available in the store right now!  I chose my papers first which determined what colours I was going to use (and no, I didn't realize that the design was centered so nicely, lol). I chose cooler colours as opposed to warm colours.  I also chose to make a frame, and cutout for my card.  I used vellum, coloured clouds onto it, and placed it over the cutout.  You can see the effect of the light shining through the card below.
So when the card stands open on display, light will shine through...of course not as much as I'm showing here, but it gives it a nice glow.

Here are the different layers.  I cut out the lighthouse and added foam squares behind it to give dimension. I also added them to the frame.
Here's the inside of the cover.  I don't usually like a messy look, but I figured if they see a few foam squares it's not the end of the world...I think the outside more than makes up for the few they'll see.
Recipe: CHF Digital SS-Lighthouse 3, CTMH SS-Happy Birthday, PP-Echo Park Paper Co. A Boys Life Suave,CTMH CS-Outdoor Denim & White Daisy, CTMH Vellum, Spellbinders-Labels 18, Tonic Studio Ticket Corner Punch, Stampin' Up Label Punch, Rhinestones, Foam Squares, Copics.

Copics Used:
Lighthouse - C0, C1, C3, Y11
House - C1, C3, N7
Grass - G40, G82
Sky - BG0000, BG000, BG01

Top Tip Tuesday Masculine Challenge

Hello and welcome here!  Thanks to all those who replied to my plea for Blogger help, lol.  I'm not sure exactly which of the things I tried, but it seems to be posting to Reader and the Blog Rolls etc. again, yay! So you probably ended up with quite a few Posts from me, lol:)  See, I had been posting, I just didn't realize none of you were reading it...unless you came directly to my blog.

On to the Top Tip Tuesday Challenge!  This time it's for the men, anything masculine! And the DT are sharing their Tips with you.

Challenge - Masculine
DT Tips

Card Size: 4.25" x 5.5"
I totally lifted this card from Misty over at Misty's Scrapbook Corner.  I have had this plaid paper forever just waiting for the perfect project, and when I saw Misty's masculine card I pulled it out to use it for my own masculine card...of course I've tweaked it Deneen style:)  Don't ya just love the internet? You can get so many great ideas...even I need inspiration once in a while, lol.

TipWhen making masculine cards you don't always need an image, a sentiment can work well on its own.
