Inspired Stamps Thinking of You Card Set

Hello and welcome here!  It time for card sets again at Inspired Stamps, don't you just love being inspired to make cards?  This time the DT are sharing Thinking of You cards...you can check out all the sets on the Inspired Stamps Blog.

Card Sizes:  4.25" x 5.5"
I used Thinking of You from the Inspired Stamp set Tags.  The awesome thing about clear stamps is that you can curve them on your block...you can see I curved the sentiment to go along the edge of the flower!  I love using bright Spring like colours for these cards.  I dyed the flowers using Copic inks...you can find my tutorial on how I did that below.

Recipe:  Inspired Stamps-Tags, PP-My Mind's Eye Memorable "I'm With..."Together & Basic Grey Marjolaine Tiramisu, Bazzill CS-Prismatics herbal Garden Dark & Mono burgundy, CTMH CS-White Daisy, CTMH Ink-Black,  Spellbinders-Labels 23 & Marvelous Squares, Cheery Lynn Designs Mini Fanciful Flourish, Pearls, Craftwork Cards Candi-Cotton Candy, Foam Squares, Copic R85 & 0, Colour Me Crazy Flowers.

Dying Flowers with Copic Ink Tutorial
On a scrap piece of paper, colour your flower with Copic ink.
Add several drops of Colorless Blender from a refill bottle to the center of the flower.
(The bigger the flower, the more drops you will need.)
Allow to dry, add to project.

You can see how the Colorless Blender 'pushes' the colour to the edges of the petal.  And because it's alcohol ink, the flower dries quite quickly.

For the flowers I coloured in the cards above, I only coloured in the middle of the flower, and not down the petal sides, then when I added Copic 0, it pushed the colour to the petal edges.

Deneen

Mad 4 Markers Easter Challenge

Hello and welcome here.  This month the Challenge at Mad 4 Markers has been Easter, and can you believe that it is just over a week away now!  Do you have plans to hide any Easter eggs?

Card Size:  4.25" x 5.5"
I found this cute digital image of TeddyBo called Easter Bo Bunny,  resting on top of an Easter egg.  I coloured it with Copics and then attached it to my card.  Note to self, remember to add sentiment BEFORE attaching, lol, it makes it so much easier than trying to stamp on foam squares.  You can see in the photo below how it smudged a little, just on the point of me feeling like I needed to redo the whole image, ugh, Deneen, don't do that again!!

Copics Used:
Hat - V12, V15, R81, R83
Sweater - YG21, YG23, YG67
Bear - E13, E15, E21
Egg - Y11, Y15

Remember, you have about a week left to join M4M's Easter Challenge, and if you need more inspiration, pop by the M4M blog and check out March's DT creations.

Inspired Stamps Favourite Stamp to Colour

Hello and welcome here!  Today the Inspired Stamps DT are sharing our favourite stamps to colour, our favourite way.  One of my absolute favourite sets is Flowers, and of course my favourite way to colour is using Copics.

Card Size: 4.25" x 5.5"
I used to have problems photographing white-on-white cards, now it seems when I photograph Kraft CS, it doesn't look as nice as in real life.   This is a Pinterest inspired card --white embossed flower with BG coloured Copics. I also used one of my favourite verses from Inspired Stampers' Favorite Collection #1.

 Inside:
For the inside I used the same flower stamp, and the sentiment from Feel Better.

Copics Used:
BG13, BG15, BG18, O, W3

Recipe:  Inspired Stamps-Flowers, Inspired Stampers' Favorite Collection #1 & Feel Better, Kraft CS, CTMH CS-White Daisy & Ponderosa, CTMH Ink-Balck & Juniper, Versamark Ink, White Embossing Powder, Spellbinders-Fancy Tags, Martha Stewart Pinking Scallop Border Punch, Copics, Foam Squares, White Gel Pen.

Cuttlebug Mania Sketch Challenge

This is my second post for today, so if you're looking for the Top Tip Tuesday Challenge, please scroll down.

Hello and welcome here.  This week at Cuttlebug Mania it's a Sketch Challenge, with the twist that you need to use an embossing folder.  Here's my card based on the Sketch.

Challenge - Sketch & use an embossing folder
For a chance at winning an awesome prize, link your creation over at Cuttlebug Mania.

Don't forget to let us know how you used your Cuttlebug!

 Card Size:  4.25" x 5.5"
You're probably wondering where I used an embossing folder....if you click on the photo, you'll see that I used one of the edges of a smaller folder from the Sizzix Thank-you #5 set, on the green piece of CS that runs under the sentiment and medallion.  I used Cheery Lynn Designs Victorian Romance Flourish to emboss a design on the white CS, instead of using it to cut out a shape.

Inspired Stamps Spring Card

Hello and welcome here!  Can you believe we're almost halfway through March?  Easter is just around the corner, and with it comes thoughts of Spring...I wonder if our snow will melt by then? In any case, the Inspired Stamps DT are sharing Spring cards, so if you're like me and will be stuck with snow for a while yet, be sure to pop by the Inspired Stamps blog and enjoy a bit of Spring.

Card Size: 4.25" x 5.5"
Can't you just smell Spring.  I used the Inspired Stamps set called Feel Better. I thought about stamping the image with black ink, but opted to go with a softer look.  I did stamp the 'Thinking of You!' onto light green CS using a darker green ink, and then trimmed it and rounded the corners, I then attached it with foam squares.
Inside:
The flowers and the saying are also part of the Feel Better set!!

I love Kraft, so I figured it was brown enough to qualify for the Challenge, hehe.  Well, let's just say the ladies didn't kick me off the DT, so it must be okay:)  I used the Swiss Dots embossing folder for the base mat, and a few different dies to complete my card.  I finished it off with some nice pink, satin ribbon.   For you Copic lovers (or anyone who loves to colour & shade), did you notice how the light is playing off the ribbon...the highlights, and where it's darkest...I just wanted to point that out:)

Inspired Stamps March New Release

Hello and welcome here!  Yesterday I asked if you've been enjoying the Inspired Stamps New Release sneak peeks, well today I'm here to show you the new Easter stamp set called Elegant Easter, and I think you'll agree with me it really is elegant.

 Card Size:  4.25" x 5.5"
I love the elegant font of this set!  I also like that you get a couple of scripture stamps, a couple of different Easter sentiments, and the image of the crosses.  Of course I had to make a card with this set:)  I made a cross shape from Spellbinders Decorative Labels 27.

Inside:
Recipe:  Inspired Stamps-Elegant Easter, PP-Graphic 45 6x6 Patterns & Solids & Graphic 45 Secret Garden Collection Beautiful Blooms, Bazzill CS-Yellow & Purple, CTMH CS-White Daisy, CTMH Ink-Creme Brulee, Spellbinders-Classic Squares Sm., Classic Circles, Labels 4, Marvelous Squares & Decorative Labels 27, Cheery Lynn Victorian Romance Flourish, Martha Stewart Scroll Lace Border Punch, Prima Say It In Crystals, Foam Squares.

I also wanted to make a tag.  Many people like to give handmade goodies, or Easter lilies, and I thought the verse Matthew 28:6 was perfect for a tag conveying my Easter wishes.
Recipe:  Inspired Stamps-Elegant Easter, Bazzill CS-Purple & Yellow, CTMH CS-White Daisy, Spellbinders-Decorative Labels 8, Medallion 5 Die D-Lites, Labels 28 & Curved Rectangles, Foam Squares, White Organza Ribbon.

Inspired Stamps Scripture Baby Cards

Hello and welcome here!  Well, we did get some snow, but no where near enough to cancel any school:(  But on a happy note, we have Friday off which means more time to create, yippee!!  This week at Inspired Stamps, the DT are sharing creations made with Scripture stamps.

Card Sizes:  4.25" x 5.5"
I chose the stamp set called New Baby/Pregnancy.   And of course I couldn't just make a girl card, so I also made a boy card.  The image is a ball of yarn which goes perfectly with the scripture.  I used the same layout for both cards, but of course change paper colours, mat shapes, and border punch.

Inside of girl card (I stamped blue yarn for the boy card):
Recipe:  Inspired Stamps-New Baby/Pregnancy, PP Girl-My Mind's Eye Memorable "Journey" Adventure Paper & My Mind's Eye Memorable "Note" Record Paper, PP Boy-Little Yellow Bicycle Babysaurus Stripe, Bazzill CS-Light Blue (Boy) & Light Pink (Girl), CTMH CS-White Daisy, Spellbinders-Big Scalloped Circles Lg. & (Boy) Decorative Labels 27, Marianne Designs-(Girl) Doily LR0168, Martha Stewart Embossed Zig Zag Border Punch (Boy), Martha Stewart Vintage Doily Border Punch (Girl), Cuttlebug EF-Swiss Dots, Foam Squares, Dew Drops Champagne, CTMH Ink-Black, Cream Brulee, Baby Pink (Girl) & Spring Iris (Boy).

The Cuttlebug Spot Bad News, Good News

This is my second post for today, so if you're looking for the Top Tip Tuesday Challenge, please scroll down.

I have some bad news to share with you, The Cuttlebug Spot is unfortunately closing down, BUT a couple of the ladies from the DT are going to continue with Cuttlebug Challenges on a new blog, and I will continue on with them as part of the DT. As soon as I know the new information (blog name, etc.), I'll be passing it on to you!

This card that was to be for this weeks challenge of Butterflies, and add some sparkle to the butterfly.  There's no challenge for you to enter, but enjoy and be inspired by my card:)

Edited to add:
The Challenge is moving to Cuttlebug Mania, and you can enter any project with butterflies!!!

Card Size: 4.25" x 5.5"

I did alot on this card, lol.  I cut my card base with Spellbinders Decorative Labels 8.  I embossed the mat behind the butterfly, but inked my folder first for a faux letterpress look.  I then embossed the center area by sending it through again with the Swiss Dots embossing folder...this is called partial embossing (I used an oval shape instead of the B Plate to emboss just the oval area)

A detail shot.

Inside:
Recipe:  CTMH CS-White Daisy, Bazzill CS-Light Purple & Dark Purple, CTMH SS-Quick Cards Butterfly & For Every Occasion, CTMH Ink-Pansy Purple & Black, Spellbinders-Decorative Labels 8, Labels 8 & Labels 17, Marianne Designs Butterfly LR0114, Cuttlebug EF-Heritage & Swiss Dots, Martha Stewart Butterflies Punch, Rhinestones, Paper Studios Gemstones & Foam Squares.
